Boys without access to a printer can email me prints using the A4 Powerpoint Printing Template below. The pictures need to fit into the spaces left in sketchbooks, so please ensure pictures are measured accurately using the the rulers on the template.
Exams in 2022 - Latest Update from Oct 2021
Following on from the decisions from the Department for Education (DfE) and Ofqual consultation on the one-off arrangements for exams in 2022, I am pleased to let you know the plans for the A Level Art and Design qualification.
For summer 2022 only:
students will only complete Component 1 (A Level Personal Investigation)
students will not need to start or complete Component 2
exam papers for Component 2 will not be released on Centre Services in February 2022 (for A Level)
What this means for students at St Ambrose College is that the Art A Level (Fine Art & Photography) will be based only on the Yr 13 Main Project and Study (this is the 'Personal Investigation'). Year 12 Foundation Course Projects will also form part of the exhibition seen by the Moderator.
It also means that the interim deadlines for the various parts of the Yr 13 Main Project and Study have changed and are outlined below.
Week 1 (6/9)

Priority Work Set : Students continue to work on the Personal Investigation project & Study in readiness for any immanent deadlines.

HALF TERM
Week 8 (1/11)
Priority Work Set (Foundation Course Projects Deadline) : Students submit all Foundation Course Work for final assessment. This is the final opportunity for all Foundation Course Work to be marked.

Week 9 (8/11)
Priority Work Set : Students submit Study Chapter 2 first draft (and also submit Introduction and Chapter 1 corrections).

Week 10 (15/11)
Priority Work Set : Fine At students submit all Initial Preparatory Work (sketchbook and exhibition work).
Photography students submit all work up to and including Photoshoot 2 (including initial research work, contact sheets, artists’/photographer research, editing, final images and evaluations).

Week 11 (22/11)
Priority Work Set : Students submit any remaining study chapters that are investigating artists/photographers (not students own work).

Week 12 (29/11)
Priority Work Set : Fine Art students submit Artist’s Research sketchbook work. Photography students submit all work up to and including Photoshoot 3 (including initial research work, contact sheets, artists’/photographer research, editing, final images and evaluations).

Priority Work Set : Continue with Personal Investigation Project.

Week 3 (17/1)
Priority Work Set : Fine Art students submit Development 1 work (sketchbook and exhibition work). Photography students submit all work up to and including Photoshoot 4 (including initial research work, contact sheets, artists’/photographer research, editing, final images and evaluations).

Priority Work Set : Fine Art students submit Development 2 work (sketchbook and exhibition work). Photography students submit Study Chapter 3 (the chapter discussing their own work) first draft (and also submit Introduction and previous chapter corrections). As all Photoshoots are not completed the first draft of Chapter 3 may be a partly completed chapter.

HALF TERM
Week 7 (21/2)

Week 8 (28/2)
Priority Work Set : Fine Art students submit Study Chapter 3 (the chapter discussing their own work) first draft (and also submit Introduction and previous chapter corrections). As all Development and the Final Piece are not completed the first draft of Chapter 3 may be a partly completed chapter.
Photography students submit all work up to and including Photoshoot 5 (including initial research work, contact sheets, artists’/photographer research, editing, final images and evaluations).

Week 9 (7/3)
Priority Work Set (Final Piece and Final Photoshoots started) : Continue with Personal Investigation Project.

Week 10 (14/3)
Priority Work Set : Continue with Personal Investigation Project.

Week 11 (21/3)
Priority Work Set : Students submit Study Conclusion and Chapter 3 second draft (and also submit Introduction and previous chapter corrections).

Priority Work Set : Students submit final completed Study for last read through/corrections.

Week 13 (4/4)
Priority Work Set : Students complete all Personal Investigation and Study work. For Fine Artists this is all sketchbook, exhibition work, and the Study for printing. For Photographers this is all PowerPoint work, final images and the Study for printing.
